If you plan to visit Paris, there is really so
much to see and do that it's hard to narrow it
down to the essentials, while still having an
experience that's a good balance of
everything the city has to offer. Paris is a
dynamic and vibrant city offering a rich
cultural life, picturesque and high-end
shopping streets, huge flea markets, an
exciting nightlife, beautiful parks and romantic
river views. The city has some of the world's
most famous museums and an extensive
range of historic monuments like cathedrals,
chapels and palaces, and of course the
famous Eiffel Tower.

The popular                        theme park is
only  1 hour away from the city centre by
public transport, providing a good option
for a day visit.

The winter holiday season in Paris
offers lots of lights and celebrations as
the city lights up for Christmas and the
winter holidays.

Most of the population feels a shamed
to speak English with a French accent
or only speak French.

Metro station ”Abbesses” is 40 metres
underground and is the deepest
underground metro station in Paris.

The famous Eiffel Tower actually
swayed 13 cm. during a storm in 1999!

Paris city was built with stones
collected from mining underneath the
city. Leaving the city with endless
underground tunnels, later parts of it
needed to be stabilised to prevent some
streets and buildings from collapsing.

Paris has a smaller Statue of Liberty
that faces the huge Statue of Liberty in
America, to symbolize the friendship
between the two countries.

3 days to be able to enjoy some of the
highlights of Paris. Paris is an excellent
city to explore on foot and by metro
accompanied by a city map. Deciding on
places which you want to see and
experience before your arrival is essential if

Paris City of Lights
One could spend easily a week discovering
the romantic city Paris, the capital of France
and one of Europe’s most densely populated
cities with about 2,2 million inhabitants. The
city is divided into 20 regions, the heart of
Paris, Isle de la France is the oldest part of
the city. A river cruise on the Seine will take
you along the oldest parts of Paris and some
of the most beautiful historical buildings and
bridges.

The city offers a highly efficient metro system
covering the whole city with 300 metro
stations, lots of them decorated in their own
historical theme. About 4 million people
make daily use of the metro systems, it is
the fastest way to travel around.

Paris was home to many of the world-
renowned artists and has always been a big
attraction for its art, fashion, food and history.
The French tradition of good food and wine
can be found at many restaurants, some
open and busy till late night. If you were not
to eat a "crêpe" (French pancake) at a
sidewalk café and relax for an hour while
people watching, you might not feel like you
have really been to Paris.
