Day 1: First Taste of Amsterdam, Traditional Houseboat
You will be met at Schiphol Airport from where a transfer will take you to your accommodation on the water in the heart of Amsterdam. This private
traditional houseboat is situated on a beautiful location away from the tourists traps and right in the middle of where the 'real Amsterdam people' live,
close to shoppping streets with little boutiques, open air market, supermarket, restaurants and at walking distance of some of Amsterdams highlights
such as the Jordaan District, Anne Frank House and Wester Tower.
Relax on a private Canal Cruise: After you have freshened up you will meet at a central location with a local citizen and his boat for your first taste of
the city, a private 2 hrs. canal cruise (not a tourist canal cruise). Relax in the afternoon and enjoy the most beautiful sights from the water together with
some delicious snacks and a drink. You will pass by some highlights of Amsterdam and learn about the history and the Dutch way of life from your local
host. Afterwards you can discuss a place of drop-off which is practical for you to continue what you want to do or see next.
Private houseboat facilities: a spacious livingroom and 2 bedrooms with double bed and sliding windows with characteristic views, TV, DVD, Wi-Fi,
roomfans, floor heating, washing machine, toilet/bathroom with double sinks, bath and rainshower, kitchen with refrigerator, microwave oven, toaster,
