Want to see for yourself? we can advise you and include a visit in your travel program

Berlin Christmas Markets
Berlin has several Christmas markets to choose from. You know it's the festive season when the area around the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church starts
smelling of roasted almonds, hot chocolate and mulled wine. More than 100 booths add a seasonal touch at this traditional Christmas market in the heart of
City West. The centrepiece of the Berlin's festivities is Europe's largest Christmas pyramid with more than 5,000 lights that add a festive glow to the
seasonal bustle on Alexanderplatz. Alexanderplatz turns into a massive Christmas market with many small wooden huts and an ice skating rink.

For more than forty years, the small streets and squares in Spandau Altstadt have transformed every December into a large, unique Christmas market. The
largest continuous pedestrian zone in Berlin has around 250 market stalls Mondays to Fridays and up to 400 at the weekend. A large illuminated Christmas
tree towers over the picturesque huts, fire baskets and crafts stalls on the square around the St Nicholai Church. Potsdamer Platz in the heart of Berlin is
transformed into a gigantic winter wonderland. A 70 metre tube slide with views of the Brandenburg Gate, an outdoor skating rink and huts offering seasonal
treats and Christmas items. After all these sporting adventures, numerous small huts restock your energy with savoury and sweet winter foods. A Salzburg
snack hut creates an authentic ski chalet atmosphere with the Austrian cuisine on offer. The hut was built for Winter Welt from 180-year-old Austrian hut
wood and fitted with a tiled stove, peasant tools and costumes. The après-ski ("after skiing", 'a culture of festivities) with a DJ begins from 7 p.m. The
Christmas market on nearby Alte Potsdamer Straße expands the winter welt party with lovingly decorated stands selling crafts, leather and textile products
and other gifts.

Oberhausen Centro Christmas Market
Oberhausen Centro is a huge shopping centre on the outskirts of Oberhausen. It is Europe's largest shopping and leisure centre! A Christmas market takes
place every year, but actually these are three Christmas markets! There are up to 150 wooden chalets offering a wide range of Christmas decoration, winter
and traditional food products. For a lovely day of fun shopping.

Oberhausen Christmas Markets
The Oberhausen Weihnachtswald is a true feast of scents. It smells delicious! The Weihnachtswald takes place in Oberhausen centre, a forest and winter
landscape is created on The Old Market Square. Visitors can walk through more than 300 lit and fragrant pine trees. They are more than 14 metres high and
will bring you right into the Christmas mood. A gentle forest trail leads by up to 30 festively decorated chalets and huts offering a range of Christmas
products, regional food products and art crafts. Gluvine, the sweet smell of pancakes and rustic wooden tables in the middle of the forest add up to the
experience. An historical carousel brings joy for the children. The programme on the large Forest podium offers daily entertainment and festive music. All the
shops in Oberhausen City open from 13:00 until 18:00.

Cologne Christmas Markets
Cologne is a great place to really feel the Christmas spirit and offers a range of different Christmas markets throughout the city. The Neumarkt is the known
to be the oldest Christmas Market of Cologne with a seventies ambiance. The Harbour Christmas market is quite different and has it’s own maritime
ambiance where you can enjoy fish specialities and culinary snacks, festive music and an ice skating rink. The Altermarkt has up to 180 stands offering
Christmas decorations, many children toys, a life-size display of the Maria and Josef Story and an ice skating rink. At the square near the Dom Tower is a
more authentic Christmas market with up to 150 stands offering a wide range of Christmas decorations, crafts, food products and winter items. Several other
Christmas markets can also be found in the city.
